STRONGER has published its report from the New Mexico Air State Review. The Review included both the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) and New Mexico Energy, Minerals, and Natural Resources Department (EMNRD). This was New Mexico’s third State Review.
In May of 2019, a Review Team representing state, environmental, and industry stakeholders traveled to Albuquerque, NM to conduct the in-state interview portion of the Review with NMED and EMNRD staff. Official Observers representing those stakeholder groups also participated in the interview. The Review was initiated in response to Governor Lujan Grisham’s Executive Order 2019-003 On Addressing Climate Change and Energy Waste Prevention. The Report contains many findings of program strengths, as well as recommendations for continuous improvement.
