A STRONGER multi-stakeholder review team consisting of Tim Baker (Oklahoma Corporation Commission) representing state government, Lois Epstein (The Wilderness Society) representing environment/NGO, and Justin Furnace (Hilcorp) representing industry has completed a review of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission’s (AOGCC) regulations as they pertain to hydraulic fracturing. The review team met with Bureau staff on July 30, 2015. Also participating were observers from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the Bureau of Land Management, and the Alaska Oil and Gas Association. The review team will develop a report containing their findings and recommendations for AOGCC. The target date for publication of the review report is December 9, 2015.
