STRONGER Executive Director Ryan Steadley presented a report on outcomes of six hydraulic fracturing focused state reviews from 2010-2012 at the 2016 Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission Annual Conference in Little Rock, AR. The report summarizes actions taken by Pennsylvania (2010), Ohio (2011), Oklahoma (2011), Louisiana (2011), Arkansas (2012) and Colorado (2011) in response to the recommendations made by STRONGER in their respective reviews.
In 2009 STRONGER formed a Hydraulic Fracturing Workgroup charged with examining issues associated with hydraulic fracturing, and developing draft guidelines for state regulatory programs. The STRONGER Board adopted the draft Hydraulic Fracturing Guidelines in 2010, which served as the basis for these reviews.
